He starts this new series about incredible but endangered birds in Kenya, where the martial eagle – huge yellow eyes, terrifying talons, thighs of steel – blows him away. Then, he makes a case for why we should love vultures more, and somehow pulls it off. Hollie Richardson

The horror of this drama lies in the knowledge that, while the dysfunction of the mental institution is real, so is the distress and confusion of the inmates. The fallout from Australian EDM DJ Olivia Nervo’s relationship with businessman Matthew Pringle travelled as far as the Houses of Parliament as it was seen as a possible example of reproductive coercion.
